Oasis Health International was formed in 2013 by Gary W. Lang to bring years of senior management experiences in hospitals and healthcare facilities to emerging and redeveloping markets across the globe. We have indeed been fortunate not only to provide many services to our clients but also to experience the difference these changes have made on the cultures and the people as access to and quality of healthcare services have improved. Our efforts to bring even more innovative clinical solutions to these global markets is even stronger today. It is exciting to see the rapid changes in the delivery of healthcare through digital telehealth platforms, wearable diagnostic devices, population management strategies and impactful new pharmaceuticals. Our network of partners for these and so many other healthcare services and resources grows each day in order for Oasis to provide turnkey solutions to our clients. We continue our tireless efforts to improve health one community at a time across the globe.
Who We Are?
Oasis brings significant experience and resources in assisting both governmental and private entities plan, execute and manage a broad range of health care services. The founders and principals of Oasis have served as CEO’s of US based hospitals ranging from 1,100 bed academic tertiary hospitals to 100 bed community hospitals and clinics as well as a 55 hospital for profit corporation, pharmacy distribution company and senior executive in the world’s largest health care group purchasing organization (GPO). Oasis Health International (OHI) can deliver a broad range of complex healthcare services designed to meet the specific needs of our clients. OHI has experience relating to primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary care for the private and public sector.

We believe that we have the experiences and resources to transform each market’s health care needs into one of the best in the world. We do that first by understanding what those needs are through comprehensive market research, personal interviews with key stakeholders such as economic decision makers, physicians, staff and consumers. We then bring the full continuum of resources including hospital management, strategic consulting and planning, construction and project management and ultimately investment into the project as appropriate.

Specialty Centers of Excellence - Behavioral Health
Treating the wide range of mental health conditions and substance use disorders requires unique training and significant resources for clinicians and other healthcare professionals, especially in areas where there aren’t enough care providers to meet behavioral health needs. To support these professionals, many innovations today are aimed at developing in-home tools powered by digital technology. This evolving landscape can help address both access to care and gaps in care through virtual behavioral health resources and apps. We stand at the cutting edge of treatment modalities and platforms to extend and manage the care efficiently, including AI driven tools.
De Novo Hospital Projects
We have provided market assessments and financial guidance to a number of government and private investors in the development of new hospitals. Including in those upfront feasibility analyses, we assist in the design, construction, equipping, staffing and operating the facilities.
Key Executives
Gary W. Lang
MSHA, CEO and Managing Director
Mr. Lang has served as the CEO of five hospitals during his career in health care management. During that tenure, he led the development and construction of two de novo hospitals and numerous other expansions and modernization projects. He also was Executive Vice President for world’s largest health care Group Purchasing Organization. In addition, he was the founder and CEO of three health care related start-up companies, including one that developed the first web based interface between providers and payers. He is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives, Rotary International and serves on numerous boards and is a graduate of the master’s in health care administration program at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, United States, which recently was ranked by US News and World Report as the Number One health care administration program in the US.
Ramy Abou Ghayda MD, MHA, MPH, MBA,
Chief Medical Officer and Director
Dr.Ghayda has extensive experience both as a practicing physician (Board Certified, American College of Urology, and is a board member of numerous healthcare startups. In addition to his sterling clinical and management education, Dr. Ghayda brings a wealth of medical administration expertise with a focus on quality improvements and medical staff infrastructure design. He holds an MD degree from American University, Beirut, Lebanon, MHA from École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique (EHESP), Rennes, France, MPH from Harvard University, Boston, MA and an MBA from Northwestern University, Chicago, IL
George Shaunnessy
President, US Division
Mr. Shaunnessy served as the President of SunLink ScriptsRx LLC (formerly SunLink Homecare Services, LLC) of SunLink Health Systems Inc. from April 2008 to October 2010. Mr. Shaunnessy served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of MedImagining, Inc., from 2003 to December 2007, Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Affiliated Management Services, Inc., from 1997 to April 2008, and President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Housecall Medical Resources, Inc. from 1993 to 1997. From 1978 to 1991, Mr. Shaunnessy held executive positions with National Healthcare Inc., Foster Medical Home Health Care, a division of Avon Products, Charter Medical Corporation and Hospital Affiliates International, Inc. He is a graduate of the Xavier University (Cincinnati) master’s in health care administration program.
Rami Awwad
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Awwad is a highly experienced, multilingual business development executive who has been instrumental in growing companies in both European and Middle Eastern Markets. From 2008 to 2011 he served as Senior Business Development Manager of AlAwael SecuritiesofAbuDhabi, U.A.E, revising strategy and turning around financial operations. Prior to that he served as a Director at Mutual Trust AAA and led the group’s expansion across the MENA region. He has also served as a corporate advisor for a number of regional firms including Finotec Financial Services and Omnivest Capital Ltd. He holds qualifications as a Trading Manager from Nasdaq Dubai, Chartered Investment Advisor from CISI and also a recognized Operations Manager by the Securities & Commodity Authority
